Experience the Stations of the Cross through Mary’s eyes as she journeyed with her son to his death. You will be changed by this insightful and touching experience.
The Good Friday Service callus us to focus on the Passion and Death of our Lord. The Sacrifice of the Mass is not celebrated as it is on Holy Thursday. During this brief time with our Lord, the Passion is read, there is a brief period of veneration of the cross and Eucharist is received from altar bread consecrated on Holy Thursday.
This celebration is like no other. At this meal, Jesus instituted Eucharist and the priesthood, and, in washing the feet of his apostles, demonstrated that they (and consequequently, we) should serve with humility and love.
If you have never attended the Easter Vigil, you should. This mass is filled with so much symbolism – the church, as our life does through the sacrifice of Jesus, changes from darkness to light.
